I am one week post-op today so was Optifast not so long ago.  I was on it for 19 days.  The first 4 or 5 days were difficult but not an issue after that.  I have never drank coffee but really enjoyed an iced cappuccino from Tim Hortons now and then.  I really liked the chocolate Opti with 300ml very cold water blended with 4-5 ice cubes, 1/2 teaspoon of decaf instant coffee with a bit of SF caramel syrup.  My favorite though, was vanilla Opti with 300ml very cold water blended with 4-5 ice cubes and 1/2 packet of strawberry, orange, banana Crystal Light.

I used decaf coffee granules in my Optifast.  I tried different amounts but found that about 1/2 teaspoon was perfect for me.

I did opti for 8 weeks, was supposed to be 6 but my surgery was delayed. Can't say liked it but I can say it was worth it. I found it was better if I used my bullet to make it. I would make my lunch one with my bullet and take it to work made. I kept in a fridge till it was time to enjoy. I found it easier once I was used to it. I always followed it with sugar free gum. I sure you will find what works for you.

I used 1/w vanilla, 1/2 chocolate for Opti........it gave it the swirl taste effect. I didn't mind it, especially after day 2. Lost 14 lbs, that's something to get you through it!!!! :). I chewed gum.

Well surgery partner....we're on the same page with the Opti.  The chocolate wasn't bad but I had a rough go with the vanilla.  I bought Crystal light Pina Colada for the vanilla but I couldn't fini****  I like one of the suggestions here about putting baking cocoa in so that's something for tomorrow.  Yesterday and today I've only been able to get 3 shakes per day in...the 22nd can't come fast enough.
