I spoke with Selena at 5 o'clock on 1/12/00 and she sounded very good. The Demerol is helping her keep on top of the discomfort and she has been up sitting in a chair for over an hour already. Keep up the good work Selena. Kathy Wanner

Selena is a daughter of a cousin of my husbands. I feel like I have got to know a real "gem" of a person. She is now "over the other side" and was truly at peace with her decision to have this surgery. Her mother says, "She did fine through and after the surgery." My there are a lot of us "normal sized" people wanting out badly. Selena will have the body to match her beautiful personality. In our prayers - looking forward to that Columbus outing this spring!!! Start picking out that outfit gal!

I called the hospital at 10:30 PM and the nursing staff said that Selena was doing well and was sleeping. She has been though a lot today and needs her rest.

Hi, I spoke with precious Selena at about 5:25 EST and she was resting in relative comfort. I could tell Selena was still a bit out of it, but she was aware enough to recognize my voice and to ask how I was feeling! Always, so selfless! Her surgery was the first one this morning and she was out with no complications by 10:30. She complained of the typical cottonmouth and is hoping for something to drink tomorrow. God bless you Selena, and look after you until you are fully recuperated! I surely do want me friend feeling good again! Big hugs,
