Hey Gina ~ YIKES!!! Sounds like horrible discrimination to me! I can't believe the lengths some of these insurance companies go to so they don't have to pay for things! I'm sure that if they started making diabetics pay for 50% of their supplies and insulin that it would never fly! As for this being the easy way out... I have a thought on that. While I DON'T believe for one second that anyone could think think that this is an easy way out, I saw something here a while back that put it in perspective for me. I work for the government. If I find a way to make my job easier and will save them money, I am eligable for a monitary award. In any other aspect in our lives we are told to work smarter and not harder. Then we bring up WLS and all the sudden we are doing this the "easy way"! HA!!! I have a friend who after fighting for at least 10 years was able to find a surgeon to do her surgery. She then had to fight Medicaid to pay for the surgery. She went into their office and sat there hour after hour and day after day until they finally relented. While she did have a very rough time after surgery and almost lost her life she is now a wonderful, able bodied person who is now off of welfare and saving Medicaid thousands of dollars a year as she no longer has to rely on them to cover the few meds she is on now (she went from 24 to 6). Maybe Medicaid should be giving her a monitary reward? I don't know! It's funny that the contest at work is excluding WLS. I guess it just goes to show that it actually does work! What a bunch of hipocrites! Okay, off my soap box now. Have a wonderful day!

Hi Gina, I know you're very worried, but a plateau early out is very common. It's just your body trying to catch up to the weight you've already lost. If you are following your Dr.s plan for eating and drinking H2o and exercising, the weight WILL come off. You are NOT a failure. Please keep us posted on your progress. BIGGHUGGZZZZ

Gina, honey, you have to eat your protein and drink your water and walk. That is the trick. Don't panic. I'll say a prayer for you. Best wishes, ROSI

~*~I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.~*~Hugs~*~

In all things Remember, that the one above loves you, that He holds us all in his loving arms,He knows each of us by name.He said anything you ask for in "my name" will be given to you.So in His name I pray for you, that you be given strength, endurance, love, peace and most of all long life.In Jesus' name. When you wake up and see the faces of your loved ones in the recovery room, know that you have made it.Thank Him,Know that you have been blessed to see and to live out the rest of your days with the ones you love and the ones who love you.....Knowing that He loves you too. Happy soon to be ReBirthday.
