Question:
One year post op...I feel like I can eat ALOT!

I am one year post op (open rny) and I feel like I can eat a lot. Here are some examples of things I have eaten (not together, but individually): 1 slice Sbarro pizza (minus the end crust), a beef burrito (minus a little of the tortilla), 3 homestyle chicken strips from Wendy's, a whole bagel from Dunkin' DOnuts (this scared the heck out of me!). These are not items I eat everyday, just examples of things I know everyone can visualize. I am just worried that there may be something "mechanically" wrong. I believe I am transected, but I am not 100% sure on that. I just don't get that "full" feeling like I used to. I don't think I could have stretched my pouch out that much. I have insurance, but it does not cover any aspect of the surgery. So, if I have to have a test, I have to pay for it. I just needed others opinions to know if you think this is a lot to eat or normal at this stage? Thanks for your input! Keri (357/221/175)    — KC I. (posted on May 9, 2004)
