Question:
Did any of you start out with A cup breasts?

Ok so I have the weirdest body in that I weight about 300lbs, yet brealy have A cups. If I could find a bra in my size I would wear a 44A, and that's not possible, I am convinced! So my question is this, are they going to disappear altogether when I have surgery? Sigh... that would make me sad :( Thanks for your help! :)    — [Anonymous] (posted on October 22, 2001)

I know exactly how you feel! At 254 pounds I was a "barely B", unable to find the 40+ A cup. I wore the B's too big... What's a girl to do? Well, 118 pounds later, I am in a 34-36 A... Yes, my breast size did go down more, (Who ever thought that would be possible?) My breasts consist mainly of muscle, I have very little tissue there... I am pretty much flat chested. But that's okay!!! As a matter of fact, with a decent bra on, my breast actually stick out more than my belly does for the first time in my life! It's wonderful!

My old 50 B's were pretty darn hard to find too! I started this journey at 388 with B cups, right now I'm 245 with B cups. Most folks don't shrink the same percentage everywhere. And cups are sized to the bra band size so the cup on a 50 B is bigger than the cup on say a 40 B which is what I wear now. Hope this helps. Anyway - I figured I'd rather have no boobs if I could get rid of my butt!

I am pre-op and this too has been a question I have wondered about before. I am now 273 and a size 40B, before my kids I was 120 34A. So this is the way Im looking at it...there going to shrink and probablly sag quite a bit but thats OK with me because after the WLS surgery Im planning on having the Tummy Tuck and a Boob Job!!! Thank GOD for Plastic Surgeons!

My guess would be no...you'll remain an A cup. Because if you don't have fatty breasts like us DDD's, when you lose weight (i.e. fat) it has to come from other parts of your body. The fat parts.

OMG, I thought I was the only one with this problem. My sister and my mother are both thin and nicely endowed. However, I have always been overweigh--254.3#'s now; and also have always been small busted. I went to the store at Christmas and bought a soft molded foam bra (not easily found in a 44B) and was extremely dissappointed. Turns out only the left boob fits in a 44B; the right fits a 44A OMG! So as you can picture the right breast had a big dent in it on Christmas day at the relatives house. And don't you just know--everyone at one point or another had to make a comment. OH Well, my surgery date is March 25, 2002, and after I lose my weight I plan on buying the best gel filled wonder bra money can buy. For once in my life my boobs will be larger than my stomach and I don't care if they are real or not. Just so long as it looks good--and there are no dents. HA HA HA!

There is a place in Phx called The Bra Shop. If they don't have what you need they will get it for you or have it made. They do have a website but I don't have the address anymore. You can also call them.

I think it depends upon the individual. I was 320 lbs with DDD's when I went in for surgery. 100 lbs later...still a DDD. Only difference...I was a 42 DDD, now I am a 40 DDD. I was hoping mine would shrink a bit. : )

My surgery is June 27, 2005 and I'm 353lbs with a 48F bra size. I'm hoping my size doesn't change a lot. :( I like my breasts and don't want to end up with golf balls in wet nylons. LOL Anyone else have this problem?
