Will Medicare pay for skin removal

Has medicare ever paid for TT or Lower body lift? I an 1 year post and I have Medicare. I contacted Dr. Chun in NYC and he was reluctand to do surgery because Medicare doesn't do prior auths. I fell really bummed about this. How can I get it done, with out paying 30 thousand upfront? He said my case was moderate and it's a 50/50 chance.    — Jody Diou (posted on August 31, 2002)

Hi, I have heard that the Shriner organazation will pay for your Plastic surgery to have excess skin removed. They use that skin for burn victims. I think you would go to your Local Rehabilitation center in your state.
