Question:
Is there anyone that know of a Doctor who specialize in the surgery in New Jersey

I am trying to find a Doctor who performs the surgery, in the New Jersey area thats close to Eastorange,Newark,Irvington,Kearny,Livingston,Elizbeth, and other areas that are close to Eastorange.    — mary H. (posted on September 23, 2002)

I would suggest Dr Elliot Goodman. He has an officee in Westwood and now I think in Teaneck near Hackensack. Mabye a little bit further than you want but keep him in mind, hes wonderful. Good Luck!!! (4months post-op -69)

I am scheduled for surgery with Dr. Hans Schmidt in Hackensack on October 8. The man has impressed me totally and I am totally confident. Of course, I can't wait till its over.. scared and nervous, but knowing that the Lap surg is the right thing.

My surgeon is Dr. Elliot Goodman, who performs most of his surgeries at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx; but also operates at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck. Amy--open RNY 7/25/02 -61 lbs.

I had my surgery with Dr. Joseph Kamelgard at University Hospital in Newark. I HIGHLY recommend him. His staff is excellent and I am 3 months out with not one complication. Dr. Capella in Ramsey, NJ. I can not possibly give him a high enough recommendation. He has the most experience in the field of WLS, 22 years. I had no complications at all, he and his son (his son is a plastic surgeon) are great, attentive doctors. Dr. Capella has been featured on 20/20, the View and in Elle magazine.
