Question:
CPAP and swallowing

I just started on the CPAP and I noticed that it is hard to swallow against the air flow.My throat actually feels bruised and is sore now during the day when I swallow.My setting is only at 10.Anyone know if this is just a tempory thing?    — jennifer A. (posted on April 12, 2003)

Hi Jennifer, I agree with Iris . . . my chest hurt too. My Machine is set 17 . . . I think I would get blown away. Now 2 months later . . . I have to open my mouth to feel the air rush to be sure all that pressure is still there. I have never slept better. I hated it the first week or two . . . now I sleep great! Good Luck! Michele :)
