Re-size a photo & that (mucus) question?

I would like to know how I can add my photo to my profile (from a webpage) so it will NOT enlarge?? It starts out as about 1.5x2" and ends up 2x larger! ALSO what's up with this?? Whenever I search the library this is always the result (with or without the answer i'm looking for)!! Matches from the Answers Database: Q: HELP!!! I have too much Mucus A: Uh oh! I don't know what's up with the MUCUS thing...LOL! But, all the photos (no matter what size they start out) will default to 300 pixels (about 3.5 inches) in HEIGHT (width doesn't matter) There's no way around this besides making a sort of "frame" for your pic so that it's 300 pixels in height. In other words, create a background in any color that's 300 pixels in height, and whatever width you need, place your photo on top of it in another layer, merge layers, and save the whole thing as one image.
