Question:
Cigna POS in Illinois? Has anyone been approved by them lately?

They are giving me the run around that I have heard they are so famous for and I just wonder if they are covering anyone? If anyone has this ins. could you please share your experience with them...with me? Thanks!    — Sherri M. (posted on June 22, 2003)

Sherri, I have CIgna PPO in Ohio and was denied the first time and than appealed and was approved. They gave me a horrible run-a-round. Kept requesting things that I had already provided them 2 or 3x. They really are a pain in the a$$. What I finally did was certified mail tham ever stitch of info I had and made sure they confirmed they received it. Than it really was a matter of a few weeks when I got approved. Good Luck and hang in their!! I'm sure you will hear those precious words "YOU'RE APPROVED" soon enough. Audrey

Good question! We have cigna of Il as a secondary, they denied both appeals and gave us all kinds of run around up to and including saying I didn't exsist. we've had them for over a yr and they had everything messed up, but were paying for x-rays but nothing else, go figure. Good luck and keep trying, we have the company working on them now, they say that many of their IL employees are having problems with them. Get your employers involved, they should be glad to help rather then listen to us complain at work.Ronda
