Question:
I'm having pain deep in my throat accompanied with esophageal spasms.

It had been several hours since I'd eaten, so a blockage doesn't seem to be the culprit. My Dr. suggested Mylanta, but it didn't help. Any suggestions anyone?    — Ms C. (posted on February 7, 2004)

I used to take a drug called Levbid for esophageal spasms. They can really hurt. My Mom has them too and she was given nitroglyciran tablets. Ask your doc for something that will help spasms.
