Question:
Anyone use toning beds pre-op?

I started using toning beds at a local tanning/toning shop. While I am not really concerned about muscle or cardiac benefits, I am wondering if anyone else has ever used them? I am thus far satisfied with the progress, as it gets my circulation going and does make me feel better. It has also helped with my flexibility and stress-release. Anyone out there who has used these long term and has had less sagging?    — Diana M. (posted on May 18, 2001)

Hi Diana, I am a toning bed princess. I swear by them. They help my stress, circulation and have helped me tone down 62 inches overall. : ) I loved them so much that when I moved from my gym that had them in California I bought one for my home. I do 1 hour of step aerobics and then I tone for 1 hour 6 days a week and I may not even need plastic surgery. Toning beds are great for overall health and definitely for weight loss. Be sure to not just sit on them, you have to work with the machines and it should be very very difficult to do a few minutes because you are flexing each and every muscle while the bed works under you. You have to keep everything tight and work against the machine or it will not work. I had ladies who worked on the tables with me daily and they didn't get out of breath or sweat, they just laid there and visited. The machine doesn't work if you don't work your body with it. It's really hard but a really great work out and I went from 2 minutes to as much as 10 on each machine after just six months. Hey, am I a toning table dealer or something? No, I'm just a fan! xoxo
