I had swelling all over especially my stomach. I am preop.

I WEIGH ABOUT 450 LBS. A LOT OF THE SWELLING HAS GONE DOWN WITH MEDS BUT THE BOTTOM OF MY STOMACH IS STILL BIG & HARD AS BRICK.HAS ANY ONE HAD THIS HAPPEN? WHAT THE HECK IS IT? IT SEEMS TO BE GETTING BETTER BUT ITS BEEN 2 MONTHS NOW. WHAT MISERY!!!!    — BONNIE G. (posted on August 13, 2001)

My stomach was the same way. Seemed like it was hard as a rock. Turned out, when I had my surgery (4 wks post op, down 29 pounds) they discovered I had an ovarian cyst the size of a basketball! What a surprise that was. I had no clue I had it.
