How long should it take to drink your protein drink??

It depends on how far out from surgery you are. It would also depend on how much liquid you add. I use about 3/4 cup of Crystal Light-some ice-and some frozen fruit in the blender with a scoop of Body Fortress vanilla from Walmart-it takes me about 1/2 hour.

it definatley depends on how far out you are--my nutritionalist told me I should start by sipping one ounce every 15 minutes and then gradually increase by 1/2 ounce-1oz as tolerated--im 2 weeks out and can easily sip 2 sometimes 3 oz every 15-20 minutes

You didn't sawy what kind of protein drink or how it's made or the volume. If it is a good whey protein, made with 4-6 oz of water, then not longer than 1/2 hr. If you are further out, you can probably get that down in 5-10 minutes.

I was to sip my liquids until my 3 month check up then I was given the go ahead to drink normally. It all depends on the protein drink, some can be real thick and you will need to drink them slow otherwise you get real full. I still need to even at almost 3 years out, that is the real thick protein drinks.

Everyone is different - I am a year out, and I still have trouble getting everything in!
