Does anyone know????

Does anyone know what they look for when they do your bloodwork the day of surgery? Is it low hemoglobin or your vitamin D or is it your potassium?    — cuppaloopy (posted on November 1, 2009)

Potassium. I was anemic when I went in but potassium was good so surgery was done. I was still very anemic so they gave me two units of blood and I was great then. Low potassium is a surgery risk.
