Has anyone gotten approval for gastric bypass surgery using BCBS Empire Cobra?

Yes BC/BS Cobra does covered the surgery and you can be approved. A friend of mines actually has the BC/BS cobra plan and had his surgery a month ago. I work for an Medical insurance company and Cobra is just a continuation on your health benefits the same rules apply as tho you had the plan thru your employer. Hope this helps.
