Question:
Has anyone encountered any problems with not losing enough weight pre-op in order to

I was about 4 lbs shy of my pre-op goal and my surgeon postponed my surgery 1 month....devastating, considering now that it's after year-end I will have to re-satisfy my deductible! Those 4 lbs cost me $1000!!

I went on the liquid diet for 12 days and lost around 10 lbs., so the Dr. never told me anything. After 3 days of the diet is does get better. Good luck!

I lost 16 pounds two weeks before surgery. Then, on my surgery date I had gained 12 of them back. I was shocked and little disappointed;however, I still had my surgery which was 12,29,09. My surgeon did a biopsy of my fatty liver. I will find out the results on my fist postop visit. I did not encounter any problems and I was able to still have the surgery.
