Question:
CO2 gas in your system
Anyone out there have suggestions or knowledge of CO2 gas (the gas used in lap surgery) to leave your system? Just had rny yesterday and out of hospital this evening. Had pain in left shoulder last night and I thought it was gone? — Pilar12 (posted on January 21, 2010)

I had the same thing. It takes a couple of days for it to reabsorb into
your system and then leave via gas.

I had pain in my upper back for about 4 days. It varies from person to
person. Walking helps it to move and disperse.

Walking and coughing is the best way to relieve the gas pains. I had my
Lap Band 3 days ago and am still feeling it, but I feel it the worst after
I have liquids or when my stomach is full. I guess that the shoulder pain
is my 'full indicator'. Boy I wish it will stop.

I had the same things happen, it took about a week or maybe a little more
for it to completely go away but I also walked as much as possible and
Gas-x chewables became my absolute best friend! I still keep them on me in
case of gas trouble and I'm 6 weeks out! The more you move around, walk,
cough, the faster it will go away, I promise!
