Question:
This is for the ladies out there

I am having a real hard time finding a bra that fits. I need a 40 nearly B I can only find a 38 and it is uncomfortable. Does anyone know of a web site or store where I can find such a thing. Getting really frustrated.    — Joyce T. (posted on October 30, 2008)

You can also try to find some of the 'extender' things that attach to the hooks to make it a little bigger around.

Victorias Secret, online store is the best! They have all sizes and cute ones too.

Fashion Bug, The Avenue, Lane Bryant and possibly Catherines. All have a dot com, also: www.fashionbug.com www.avenue.com www.catherines.com www.lanebryant.com They specialize in larger size clothing and tend to have nicer bras for women of larger sizes (and most available larger than even Victoria's Secret sizes!)

Google search Lane Bryan, Roaman's, Woman Within, Just My Size. Probably Just My Size is the best choice; they will have probably 50 bras in your size to choose from.

I just spent a whole day looking for a bra so I know what your are gong through. I don't know if you have a Kohls Department Store where you live but that is where I finally found a bra that fit. Like you, I am a 40 almost B. I was so frustrated I was about ready to give up when my sister suggested Kohls. So you might want to give them a try.

You can also try Torrid.com they are a store just for large folks so it is highly likely that you will find something comfy, fittable, and even sexy.

Try Lane Bryant. they a very nice selection. Conventional, to Sporty, even Fun and Sexy bras. On line or in the store. Their sizing is very uniform, too. I find myself in your same predicament. Mary Phenning, Mary in Britt

The first place I would go would be Layne Bryant. They can measure you for the correct size to make sure that you are comfortable.

Oh yeah...I remember this problem! I had the same...I struggled to find 40 B's myself! I wore a lot of sports bras til I lost down to a 38 and then settled into a 36 finally...I was a 38 A for a while! That was another weird size...then I filled back out somehow...But the sports bras are great to sleep in too...I never take my bra off, except to shower or change, etc! ...I sleep with bras on too...While sports bras are not the most flattering...as a transition bra or to sleep and exercise in....they are quite comfy and supportive. Gravity happens MUCHO slower too, if you know what I mean?!

Playtex (online site too), JC Penney's. BUT... the best piece of advice is to go get yourself fitted for a bra. Most women's shop (that sell bras) do this service for free. I thought I needed one size and was amazed that I needed something totally different. Catherines does it and I think Penney's does too. Good Luck!

Based on all the responses, U and I are not alone. I hate bra shopping myself too. I end up at J C Penny during a sale and was able to find only 2, the same style and colour. Just my size is also another good place to shop on line.

Nordstrom has bra fitting clinics where they help you find fit and comfort. My personal favorite is Wacoal. I tried switching to something less pricey and hated them.

I have also had this problem. I purchased bra extenders. You can find them at Wal-Mart, JC Penney, Dillards, Target....just about everywhere that has a lingerie department. They are WONDERFUL!!! Hope this helps!
