Hi Angie I am 5 months post op, same height and was almost the same weight, 257, I have lost 75 pounds, and have slowed way down on my losing. Last month I only lost 5 pounds, but was happy with that.Better than gaining in my eyes. I think our honeymoon period is indeed over, I am so grateful I lost so much in such a short amount of time. Now the work begins to get the rest off. This month (my 5th month) I have only lost 3 pounds so far, I know the weight will keep coming off, but at a slower rate now. But really did you ever think you would be in a size 12 in 4 months time?? I never dreamed I would EVER wear a size 12. We are both right on target with our losing, and I thank God everytime I lose another pound. Congratulations on you wonderful lose, you must be so proud. Hugs

Hi I am 9 mo out and i have lost over 100# i'm almost 60. I started at 275-280- and now im at 172. I am in a 14. Wow you have done marvelous. Yes it does slow down. Didn't anyone tell you that? And that your appatite will come back with a fury? Here is a page that will help you well, it helped me. you can use this link: http://www.obesityhelp.com/weightloss.phtml but the way you find it ..is, map at top of page then it will come to ...site map...then you page down to General Tools and there click on WEIGHT LOSS CALCULATOR put in your info, then the number that comes up with (mine is 624) it means that i have to either cut back 624 calories or cut back 300 and exercise off 324 or cut back 100 calories and exercise off 524 something like that. Now we wont lose as fast...and we shouldnt. Our bodies and minds have to all "catch up" it takes time!!!! ITS US THAT GETS IN A HURRY AND OUR BODIES TRY TO SLOW US DOWN. Just think a size 12 is a "normal size" not too thin not to fat soo dont let yourself get crazy over this. Best to you. Jacki
