Question:
i was denied the first time by cigna ppo. they said they did not fing it medically

necessary. my bmi is 45.9 and i weigh 320 lbs. i have arthritis in my back and beginning in my knees, shortness of breath, diabetes and heart disease in my family and i am fatigued all the time. went to btc in ypsilanti, mi. and they seem to think i will have no problem getting approved. i'm a nervous wreck since i've been denied once already. does anyone know what my chances are of getting an approval this time around?    — Michelle L. Hi. I have Cigna PPO and I was approved, but not without some trouble. I submitted my papers in June and didn't get approved until late August. I weighed 350 pounds so I know it's not your weight that's the problem, they probably just don't want to do it. So keep on bugging them until they say YES! I called them every other day and bugged them until they did. I am from MI too...so I just really see no reason for them not to approve you. Keep fighting it will work out!!!! Good luck. :-)
