It sounds like the pain I had right after my band surgery. My surgeon said it was referred pain and it has since gone away. Maybe the band adjustment caused the referred pain again. If it doesn't go away soon I would call your surgeon. Good luck and feel better!

You said you've had the pains for a week, and had a fill 11/29 - by any chance did you have the pain when you saw your surgeon? If so, did you tell him and did he have any input? If not I would be inclined to call them and let them know - better to find out it's normal and be reassured than to find out down the road it may become a bigger problem!

If your band slipped you would not be getting any foods in and quite possibly not any liquids either. You should call your doctor's office and discuss the pain with him/her though. It could just be your body adjusting to the fill, it could be unrelated or it could be something your doctor wants to see you over. Better to ask than to wonder. Good luck. Vicki

i suggest you call the doctor and see what he/she thinks. there are so many things it could be, but certain problems need to be ruled out and your doctor will know what to check for. unrelated to your band it could be a pulled muscle or pneumonia. good luck and please get it checked out. hope this helps.....Holly

Yes, get a hold of your surgeon, but also do a web-md search of all your symptoms. Have you had rapid weight loss, does eating or drinking aggravate the pain, are you able to keep anything down, are you having reflux, do you have sharp stabbing pain in the back that radiates around to the front, if you do, have your gall bladder checked. I went through over 2 months of having Dr's tell me it was my lap band and I kept telling them I was sick, I finally self diagnosed, had my gall bladder removed and then the surgeon did a scope of my stomach and didn't remove my fill, because of their not listening to me, the ended up pulling my stomach back through my band then had the nerve to tell me that they thought that my band had slipped and that they would not treat me any further, I was basically kicked out the hospital and forced to go back to my surgeon in mexico, who sadly ... had to remove my band because of the damage that they did to me here in the states. DO NOT let anyone tell you that everything is related to your band and just leave it at that. Be pro-active, research all of your symptoms, hopefully it is just a small side effect of a fill, I never experienced any pain with a fill, but we are each different. If your band has slipped you can not keep anything down, not even water, you become dehydrated very quickly, so don't wait on this. If you have been vomiting violently lately, have your band checked. A fluoroscopy is alot cheaper than having to have a band removed and then try to figure out how to get it back on. Good luck
