I was the first person to post and I wasnt trying to be rude but since you wanted to take it there let me explain why I posted that.... My surgeon has made it very clear that he does not recommend getting pregnant until 2 years out due to your body still trying to adjust to the surgery and the possibility of not providing your fetus with the nutrients it needs. I didnt say you got pregnant on purpose...no where in my post did it say that. I just found it a little strange that instead of asking if your baby would be ok, that you were worried about losing the weight. I seen alot of people on here made sure to tell you that they have had this experience and everything went fine. But obviously there are cases where its not fine or the surgeons wouldnt stress this matter. So before you jump down peoples throat maybe you should realize that babys dont ask to be here I understand your case was different and if I were you I would be having a serious talk with that doctor that said he tied your tubes, maybe some kind of compensation could come out of it...but I can imagine bringing a baby into this world when there is a greater chance of birth defects then normal. And in my defense you never said you had already spoke with your doctor. Good luck on your pregnancy I am sure you will follow all instuctions by your doctors. talk with a nutritionist to set eating guidelines and you will gain just enough for what your baby needs. I was under a nutritionist orders during my pregancy because of my weight and only gained 11 pounds so its possible.

Hi, Did your tubes get tied? I was a little worried, I had lapband on may 29th and my tubes tied also. Was wondering were they tied and it did not work or the doctor didn't do it when he should? Thanks anita

hi, I just wanted to let anyone who is reading this know something. My parents had 2 children before me, after the second child my mom and child almost died during birth, as a result my mom had her tubes tied. not even a year later she found out she was pregnant again, with ME. when they "tie your tubes" what they really do is cut a piece out of your tubes so that the egg will not get down to the uterus. however some super eggs "swim" into the other section and a woman can still become pregnant.

Nowadays tubal ligation is relatiely irreversible. I had my tubes tied 3/04. Not only were they tied, but he burned them as well. The likelihood of me getting pregnant is zilch to 0!!
