Question:
Tubal ligation reversal after surgey?????

Has anyone actually been APPROVED 4 and HAD a tubal ligation reversal after surgery? I hear alot of people (including my doctor) say wait till after surgery. But my question is will having and open rny prohibit me from being eligible for a reversal...will another doctor approve such a procedure(tubal reversal) after my surgery???HELP....    — armywife254tx (posted on February 18, 2006)

I've had both an open RNY and a Tubal ligation....they are both in very different areas of my abdomen and I can't see how one would interfere with the other. Your doc recommending that you wait is probably good in the fact that you are ensured not to get pregnant too soon after WLS. You might want to speak with another surgeon to get a second opinon, it will probably ease your fears a bit. Good Luck.
