You rock! I was doing about 5-7 minutes 4 or 5 times a day at post-op day 5 or so. I have a dog and lived in an apt so she had to be walked and I did too! Keep up the good work, you will be happy you did!

Hi congratulations on your surgery, you are going to love the new you! My doctor had me walking 1 mile by the one week mark. The more you get up and walk the better you will feel. Do it several times a day. Just pace your apartment if you have to, but get up and get moving. This speeds your recovery time. I had my surgery on Dec 12 and was back to work Dec 20 full time. I walked and walked and walked even in the hospital. I have lost 83 pounds and am amazed at how small I am!!!! You can do it. Like I said you are going to love the new you! Cathy

Good for you! At 5 days post-op, do what you can as long as you are comfortable, but be careful to not overdo it. For the first month I took a daily nap because I felt tired a lot. I am now 9 weeks out and feeling great!

I think that's doing great! Everyone is different, depending on their fitness levels. You have to let your own body be your guide. I have to keep reminding myself to not compare myself to others. There are just too many factors that affect where we are on our individual journeys. Trust me....just do your very best...exercise as much as you are able to w/o pushing yourself unreasonably hard...stick with your diet as best as you can....and let your body be your guide. Some lose fast, some lose slow. Some can exercise a lot, some can't. Just accept yourself on your own terms. You're setting yourself up if you constantly compare yourself with others. I've learned this the hard way. Good luck!!! :)
