Question:
PLS TELL ME HOW YOU GET STARTED WITH TRC?

MY FRIEND IS WANTING TO HAVE WLS SURGERY AND HAS NO INSURANCE, SO TRC IS ONLY OTHER OPTION, CAN ANYONE GUIDE ME IN GETTING HER STARTED, SHE ALREADY CALLED THEM AND BASICLY THEY BLEW HER OFF, JUST TOLD HER TO GO TO DOCTOR AND GET ON A DIET, SHE IS OVER 450 POUNDS AND IS HAVING MANY MEDICAL PROBLEMS, AND NOW CAN BARELY WALK, CAN NOT AFFORD TO PAY CASH, SINGLE MOM WITH 4 KIDS, THANKS FOR ANY INFO, YOU CAN PROVIDE.    — denise F. I'm not sure, but if she is eligible have her apply for Medicaid. I think that they will pay for the surgery in most states. With TRC have her call again, hopefully she will get someone different, if she does not have her ask for a supervisor. If this still doesn't work I would suggest that she have a doctor try to contact them on her behalf.

I started with TRC about June of 02. They gave me the run around but i demanded they meet with me. They did and soon deinied me. I got a lawyer from advocacy Inc. They have reinstated me and I am going through the process again. This time they are sending me to their doctors. I also weight close to 450lbs and am on the verge of being in a wheel chair from the pain when I walk. They take their sweet time. They also say that you have to have a diet complete with psychologist, nuetritionist and doctor for at least a year. I have been on everything since i was 2 years old but they may still deny me because It has been over 3 years since ive done a long term diet. So I dont know if there is hope or not for TRC. I maybe dead before they decide what they are going to do. I dont have much more to tell ya but you can email me and I can try to answer some questions... [email protected].
