Question:
Fitday not accepting nutrition facts???

Has anyone else had the problem of fitday.com not accepting the nutrition facts directly from a product? Several times I will customize a food and use the servings size and nutrition facts from the food's label and fitday will tell me the calories need to be changed based on their formula.    — Sarahlicious (posted on June 11, 2003)

That happened to me too. I'm new at using fitday and so far it only happened with one item. But the calories according to fit day were only off by 2, so it was no big deal, but I don't know if it's a usual occurance

It's happened to me once in awhile, too ... so I change the nutritional info to get fitday to accept it, but try to keep the protein/carb/fat ratio of the product the same as on the box (even if I have to adjust it for fitday) so it's not too far off. Makes you wonder though, doesn't it?

It just happened to me this morning. I copied the nutrition information directly from a label of jar gravy that I used last night. It would not accept this info, and said the calories could not be right for what I had entered. I chose one from their list that seemed close. Could this mean that some labels are not correct? I just started using fitday this week, so I'm not completely familiar with it.

Sarah, this has happened to me to, but I found that if I click on "save custom food" again, the item will be accepted as I endtered it. Robin

One time too many I have found that the nutrition info on labels could not possibly match the calorie amount the product claims to have. All fats have 9 cal per gram-- everythin else -- carbs, proteins ect... have 4 cal per gram. So, for the most part, you can figure out if the calorie count on the label is accurate or not.

Sorry, i think I made a mistake about the fat calories -- it should be 7 per gram.all else is 4 per gram.
