Question:
Can we get some prayers/positive thoughts?

We are leaving shortly for the drive to Pittsburgh. Hubby is having surgery tomorrow at UPMC Shadyside. We are pretty calm about it for now, but we can use all the prayers and positive thoughts we can get!! Thanks all. — Pookie B. (posted on February 10, 2004)

Much happiness to you both! Looks like the weather is cooperating for your drive so take that as a GOOD sign. I am 88 mi south of Pittsburgh and had my surgery in Morgantown, WV. You are about to begin a new exciting life and so much to look forward to. God's blessings to you!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I am 4 weeks post-op, so the fears of the night before and the morning of are very fresh in my memory. The first few days afterward were tough for me also, but then you begin to see the exciting, "losing" journey before you. That is a very exciting ride to begin! I wish you both wonderful success and a quick, uneventful recovery for your husband.

Hey all origonal poster here. I am sitting here waiting while hubby is in surgery. Our Dr is Dr. Anita Courcolas. He was to go in at 2pm today and things got backed up...he just went in at 5pm. We grabbed a bite to eat (something with gravy as per hubby's last request) :o) They said it will be a 3-4 hour surgery so we are in for a wait.
Thanks for everyon's prayers and posiive thoughts. I feel like breaking down right now but I have our 7 year old son, and I am trying to be strong so he does not freak out. I just keep telling myself that we are making the right decision, and my turn in April is coming soon.
Thanks again and God Bless!!
