Question:
Tatoo

Hey all, I am thinking of getting a tatoo but I am concerned because I have not had my plastic surgery yet. I am still 30 lbs from goal so i wont be having it anytime soon. Does anyone know a good place to get one where it wont be affected by any plastic surgery that I might have at a later date? Thank You    — Tami S. (posted on August 12, 2004)

Hi, I just recently got my third tattoo and I had the same concerns. I opted to get my left ankle tattooed because I figured I wouldn't lose weight there. I had my first tattoo done years ago (a little rose on my right ankle) and it still looks as good now as when I got it and I've now lost about 140lbs since then. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I got a tatoo around my right ankle and on my right shoulder blade. Neither of these areas have been affected by my weight loss.

I have 1 on my right shoulder blade and it has not been affected I want to get a few more when I have the spare money but the mai 1 I want will be on my lower back so i know I got to wait till after PS for that one Take Care Huggs Beth

I have a tatoo of morning glories (my favorite flowers)on the top of my foot, kind of starting on my big toe and working up from there. It's a GREAT place for a tatoo, everyone always comments on it when I wear open shoes. But, on the other hand, it's easy to cover when I want to. I never have to worry about what clothes I can wear to 'cover' something and I don't feel that I've put it in a place where I will feel embarrased when I'm 60. THe comment I get a lot is- Oh didn't that hurt to put it there? My answer is - not that much. I don't know what getting a tatoo in another area feels like but, while it wasn't a picnic, it wasn't traumatic either. Anyway- that's just my experience.

you ankle, your shoulder - maybe your butt if your NOT getting a butt lift.. Your you could just wait until plastics are over then do the tatoo

I have eight tattoos... my first was was pre-op on my left upper calf, and the others followed suit during the past four years since my surgery. I have had an extreme tummy tuck, breast lift/augmentation, gall bladder removal, and a revision RNY since the tattoos and none have been affected. I love my ink! :D Good luck to you!

I have ALOT of tattoos, my favorite is a pink flower on each ear lobe. Everyone comments how they love them.. Warning tattoos are addictive..seriously..LOL..love my ink too

268/138 WLS 11-1-00 TT 4-9-02 Our Family went to Hawaii for 10 days this past June What a blast bikini and snorkeling something I never dreamed of not to say I looked good I am 49 1/2 but it fit and nothing hung over the sides I decided to celebrate and get a lasting souviner I had a tatto on my lower back I eventually want around the back Plastics so I had to think of a place that my tatoo would not be touched or distorted... even if they cut and pull and snip this area will not be effected I got the Hawaiann State Flower It looks great ...that is to me it does..lol Kathy McAlister in Salinas

i have mine on my back, ankle and above my left brest. actualy i have 3 on my back, and after getting my panni, i'm thinking about getting anotherone. just havn't decided where yet... ink IS adicive. :)
