Question:
I had a Micropouch 3 years post-op, Gallbladder 1 year post-op

My doctor has sent me to the hospital on 2 separate times. I have been to the pain clinic for injections (which were worse than the pain afterward). I have had an ultrasound done, an a CT scan neither one show any thing. The doctor at the pain clinic and my doctor says that there is a knot about the size of a small lemon that you can feel but nothing shows up. It used to be that the only time I got sick was from over eating but now I'm in pain most of the time the painkillers don't seem to work either. My doctor is not sure what to do as I'm her first WLS patient. This pain wasn't here until after the gallbladder surgery. Any suggestions?    — Colleen K. (posted on March 20, 2004)

I'm sorry you're not doing too well... I think you may need to get another Dr, one that deals with WLS patients.. It's really important to see someone who deals with bariatic surgery... It also sounds like it could be some kind of hernia?? Good Luck and Take Care
