Question:
I'm wondering if having a TT & Breast lift at the same time is normal?
I have been approved for my TT and can have the breast lift for an additional $2500. It is set for March 15th. Have any of you had both at the same time? This will be 6 hours of surgery. Any advise from anyone having both of these at the same time would be appreciated. Also if anyone has pictures I would love to see what to expect. How long does it take to recover. dont know if its normal .. I know mine would NOT do them at the same time.
For my TT/hernia repair I was off work 4 weeks. Best advice is buy some
'old' fashion sanitary napkins they make great gauze for the TT.

My mother had a simultaneous TT and a breast lift/reconstructive surgery
after her mastectomy. The recovery was rough, but perhaps it is better to
get it all done together instead of having to endure surgery and the
recovery twice. Best wishes and good luck.

I am having TT/ventral hernia repair in March and a breast lift 2 weeks
later. My cosmetic surgeon said that if I was not having the hernia
repair, he could have done the breasts at the same time as the TT. He said
that was quite common. But due to the hernia repair adding on to the
surgery time, he thought it best to do the breasts at the later date so
that I would not be in surgery so long. I am supposed to be off work 4 to
6 weeks due to the physical requirements of my job. So getting the breasts
done in that time period means that I do not have to take additional time
off work. The additional costs for my breast lift is $3000 so your costs
seems pretty reasonable to me. Good luck on your surgery.

I had both, and wouldn't change a thing. One recovery, one surgery, one
time under. The TT is the biggest recovery, the breast lift was nothing.
Never bothered me.

Many Drs. do it, but mine is quite conservative and prefers not to combine
procedures due to longer time under anesthesia. I know many who have had
them done together and have done well, though.

Hi. I am a big proponent of doing it all at once within an 8 hour limit.
One recovery, one down time, one exposure to anestehsia and the risk of
blood clot. Also less expensive. Of course, I have a physician
anesthesiologist and keep my patients in over night in a fully equipped
hospital, so my comfort level is high.

I had the Hernia, TT and breast uplift done at the same time. I had two
doctors work on me. One did the hernia repair and the other did the TT and
breast uplift. I would say do both at the same time, much better recovery
time. The breast recovery was easy. The TT is hard to recover from. You
will have drains and will be sore for a long time. I'm 8weeks post op from
the TT and I feel ok just sore in the belly area. I love the flat look of
my stomach. It was all well worth it.

I just had my TT/BL on 1/5 and I agree with everyone else...the TT part was
the most painful. I had also toyed with having implants, but having a much
smaller, tighter upper and lower stomach actually makes my lifted, now
smaller breasts look larger. Weird, but true!
