Question:
My RNY is scheduled for 1/9/01 (yeaaa!). I have a pre-op appointment on 1/3/01 --

what do they do at the pre-op visit? And, I have a visit with my surgeon on 1/3/01 also...what goes on there also? My surgeon will be Dr. Ferrari in Houston. Can anyone give me an answer? I'm SO excited!    — Betty Todd (posted on December 30, 2000)

For my pre-op visits, The hospital did bloodwork, took my medical history, ekg, anasthesia interview, gave me pre-op instructions, weighed-all that good stuff. Expect to be there a few hours. With my surgeon, he did a physical, answered questions, etc. So if you have questions, speak up. Especially about pain control, expected hospital stay etc. Good luck and you're in my prayers.
