Question:
how long does it take ?

does anyone know how long btc takes to send in paperwork to insurance company i had my consultation 3 weeks ago my insurance company does not have my claim yet    — tanya C. (posted on January 22, 2003)

I had my initial consult at the BTC in Belvidere on Jan 10th. I was told then that it would probably take 2 1/2 weeks before my documentation would be sent to the insurance department within BTC. I am planning on calling my patient rep next week to see where my paperwork is.

I had my consultation on November 26th...my info was received by my insurance company on December 6th. So it was 10 days for me...including the Thanksgiving holiday. But I have read on here that it took them up to 4 weeks to send the info to the insurance company. At this point, I'd probably call the insurance dept. at BTC...ask for extension 1400 when you call the main national number.

You too huh? I went in for my consult on 1/13/03 and they told me that they overnight their charts daily to the ins dept at corporate. I called the ins dept at BTC corporate on 1/20/03 and they said they had just received it that day, and that my ins company probably wouldn't have it until the middle of Feb! Argh! I hate waiting but have no choice, I guess they have a whole bunch of charts to send in or something. Maybe they have only one rep in the ins dept and he/she is backed up. lol just kidding. Just remember there are folks waiting right along with ya. Good luck!

I had my consultation on August 27 and the insurance company received my paperwork about 3 1/2 weeks after that date. I received my approval one day after that.
