Question:
This site is awesome and has great resourses.
The people who started this site, developed it and made the catogories - such as the past 300 Questions and Library -did it for a reason. So that we would look up some of the past questions and answers that have already been asked. There seems to be alot of questions that are asked everyday. It would help if we at least looked up the last 300 questions asked. What do you guys think or feel? — Sally P. (posted on February 2, 2003)

I couldn't agree more. I know that quite a while back, one of the
moderators asked about duplicate questions. I guess they decided to allow
them, but it makes me crazy to see the same ones asked over and over,
especially if someone has already asked it and it's still in the last 300.
I find myself skipping over most of the questions these days because they
are so repetitive.

I will often advise posters to look up the info in the Library as some of
the topics frequently appear on the Board and there is a wealth of info in
the Library. It may be that some just do not know about the Library or
haven't figured out how to navigate the site and find it, or perhaps, its
just plain old impatience! But your right...

The library has a wealth of information and I have found out a lot there.
By researching there, you don't have to ask some questions. However, other
things make me so freaked out or I want my own personal spin on it so I ask
even though a general version of it has been asked before. So I suggest
the library first and then if you feel it hasn't been answered to your
satisfaction or you're so freaked out by your own situation (as I was
presurgery) ask on the main board.

I agree completely as the previous posters have. It's all a matter of
taking the TIME to simply look in the library. It costs a lot to maintain a
website. I know I've been guilty of posting questions and all I had to do
was check the library. I think this is basically done unknowingly those who
may have just registered and not familiar with the icons. I think we could
direct them by saying " a thread on this subject at..." and enter
the http://www...or to the library under the appropriate heading. Eric
Klein has come a long way (as well as his staff-both volunteer and
salaried). We could help a lot by going to the library FIRST, then, if the
answers to our questions aren't there, we could post. Let's help keep the
costs at a minimum, this too, can help where contributions are concerned,
wouldn't you say?
