Question:
I am about 2 wks out from lap RNY, and I have these strange feelings now and again...

Feels a lot like when I was pregnant and the baby was kicking, is the only way I can explain it. Is this normal? It is not painful, just a weird 'moving' feeling.    — Kimberley E. (posted on December 25, 2002)

First make sure you are not pregnant. It could be gas. It could also be a nerve or muscle spasam. Make sure you mention it to the surgeon.

I had the same strange movement type feelings. Very weird. It felt exactly like a baby kicking in the bottom of my tummy area. And no...I wasnt pregnant! (thank goodness!) It started after surgery and then disappeared after about 7-8 weeks. Maybe it is all of our intestines and stuff going back into place. I have no idea! Good Luck! (open RNY 7/23/02 -98 lbs)
