Question:
Looking for some directions, can anyone help me?

I am looking for anyone in the Bay Area that might be able to help me with directions or tell me how to get from the Greyhound bus station in S.F. (by the bay bridge) to a motel close to Mills Penninsula in Burlingame. Don't get me wrong, I know how to get there in a car, what I am looking for is how to get there on the transit. I could take a taxi, but it will cost me almost $80 to get there that way. Any help would be appreciated. My surgery is this Wednesday. Feel free to e-mail me any info. if you like. I don't have the directions for you, but you might contact the transit authority for the city and ask someone there. They should be able to direct you. They may even have a website you can go to.

Go to Altavist.com or Mapquest they will give detailed directions and hotels near by. If you know someone in AAA or have it your self they will send you trip maps with the best directions.

I have two suggestions. 1) The first one is Southern Pacific Railway(train). It runs from 3rd and Townsend (very close to the Greyhound station but not walking distance) down the Penninsula. There's a train depot right near Mills hospital (I could walk it at my current weight). The trains don't run constantly but have a nice schedule. Southern Pacific will help you with directions and you can reach them by telephone. 2) BART - There are multiple BART stations on Market St. (a few blocks from the Greyhound depot). BART runs down the penninsula and has a Burlingame stop. The only reason this is my second suggestion is that I moved from the Bay Area before BART was built down the penninsula so have less familiarity. BART also has an info telephone line (Bay Area Rapid Transit). I lived in SF and went to college in San Jose and took the train many times. No reason to pay $80 for a cab. SF has the best public transportation on the west coast. Just phone the service lines for both and see which is more convenient. Both are cheap.
