Call the surgeon on call, tell him you cant drink liquids, and you want to be admitted. Dehydration is very unopleasant and dangerous. It messes with your electrolyte balance. If all else fails just go back to the ER. They have to admit someone who cant drink fluids. You probably have a stricture, its easily solved but in the mean time you need a iV.

At this point, it is an education thing. I would go back to the er or a different er and if the dr on duty has no experience in wls patients then request that he get on the phone with one. Have the names and numbers of all that are in your area and insist that they call. This can also be a time after the fact to educate the hospital that their er personnel need training with wls patients and the problems that they can have and what is 'something' serious that needs to have something done.
