I NEED A DOCTOR IN FLORIDA THAT DOES BARIATRIC SURGERY, DO YOU KNOW ONE?

My surgeon was Dr. James Balliro in Tallahassee. He did an excellent job,
has a great bedside manner and is highly experienced (20+ years). I have
been very satisfied and would recommend him to others. Best of luck. Lisa

There is a wonderful page on this site that lists all of the surgeons for
each state. Here is the link for the state of Florida

There are quite a few. They are listed alphabetically and next to each name
if you click the blue "view", you will get that surgeons
individual page. Scroll down and you will come to a listing of insurances
that have paid for surgery with this doctor. I started at the bottom of the
list and I found several that take Medicare as payment. You may want to
finish checking each individual page. It is time consuming, but very
helpful. There seems to be a lot of surgeons in FL that take Medicare. Here
are a few that I found. Dr. Michael Hocking, Gainesville--Dr. Stanley
Deturis, Gainesville-- Dr. Patricia Byers, Miami--Dr. Michael Butler,
Altamonte Springs, and Dr. Peter Sarantos in Gainesville. There is also
surgery type and contact info at each of these pages. Hope this helps and

I have a wonderful Dr. in Florida. Dr. Tenewitz is in Melbourne. You should
check him out on this site. We have Pre-op support meetings the first
Wednesday of every month.

My surgeon was Dr. Michel Murr at Tampa General Hospital. His office
number is 813-844-7394. He has an excellent reputation and did a great job
for me. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Mark Liberman does lap RNY and lap band in Naples. He is an excellent
surgeon. I know of someone who came from Ohio to have him do the surgery.
