Question:
Would excessive power walking cause pain in stomach

I am 3 months post-op and have been power walking every day. In the last week I have been getting this pain on the right size of my inicision, sort of in the middle. I am hoping that it is because my stomach is shrinking not leaking. Has anyone experienced the same pain?    — Denise M. (posted on November 4, 2001)

Yes, I have it. Mostly on my right side but sometimes it will be on my left side too. Right in the middle just a little way from my incision. I attribute it to using those muscles that have been cut and are healing because it feels sort of like a pulled muscle. Really hurts doesn't it. I have been using my stomach muscles more this last couple of weeks and have been having to actually take pain medicine for it. They did check me and said I don't have a leak. I was worried about that at first. But maybe you should ask your surgeon about it just to be safe.
