Hello....I must tell you that curves is the best. I love going to workout. It is upbeat and all the ladies there are so friendly and patient. Also ...if you don't feel that you can do a certain machine then they don't make you. I like it because we play games and laugh the whole time and 30 mins goes by in no time at all. I think there is a special thing where you can try it out for a week to see if you like it. I don't know if it is nation wide or not but at my curves they are offing a special right now for 2 for 1. So if you have a friend that wants to go then just split the cost. Good Luck!

I recently joined Curves for Women and it's great! It's very upbeat and it only takes 30 minutes. you start out on a square with walking in place for 30 seconds and then go to a machine for 30 seconds and so forth. The music is very upbeat and once the 30 seconds is up, a voice tells you to stop and go to the next one. It's fun, you should give it a try. Good luck.

I belonged to Curves in the past and plan on re-joining as soon as my Dr. releases me (Open RNY 8/6/02 down 37.5 lbs.) Does anyone know how long I need to wait before I can add anything other than walking.

Kristina~ I just joined Curves about three weeks ago and LOVE it!!!!! Something that I really like is that I don't have very good endurance. But I can do ANYTHING for 30 seconds. This is one exercise that I can really give it my all for 30 second and move to the next one and give it my all there too. I feel like I am getting a total 30 minute work out instead of it being really intense for 15 minutes and then I wear out. Look into it!!!!!!!! They measured me on 8/30 and on 9/10 I had lost 10 lbs. and 5 1/2 inches. That right there is enough for me to keep going 6 times a week. ( I have to exercise every day or I will start "cheating" and skipping too any days.) Let me know how you do~ Candi
