Question:
Help - I'm feeling a strange sensation on my left side.....

I'm 11 months out from Lap RNY - no problems until Oct - had a hernia/looped bowel - and had to go into surgery to fix it .. ever since then I've felt a HEAVY, Full, feeling - almost a bubbly, like my skin is alive, type thing, when I eat or drink anything on my left side.. Doc ran another CatScan and they say they think there is fluid in my old stomach area, but other than that, they see no leaks. I'm really concerned that they are just thinking this is in my head or something and just passing it off - It doesn't feel right - somedays it is worse than others, I've had pretty bad gas since surgery too - they have me on Reglan, Protonix and Vioxx - for 2 weeks now, still no relief~! It is starting to freak me out so much that I am now taking Xanex too... to quiet the aniexty attacks... just wondering if anyone else had the same thing happen or similar or any ideas, OH yeah - got a piece of food stuck in my pouch on Friday - that was lovely - ended up in the ER - it was increadibly painful - had to drink the meat tendorizer until it finally passed through .. MOZZERELLA CHEESE is the culprit! I've lost 145 pounds(down from 270) and keep losing - I sure hope it stops soon or I'll be a skeleton... worried about that TOO!!! I'm in size 3's now... what do I do to stop it??? Sorry for all the questions - just need some answers! Thanks, TT    — Tammy T. (posted on November 26, 2003)

My dietician is concerned that i am losing too much so she told me to up the carbs, add a little more fat and eat snacks and believe it or not she even recommended drinking a little with my meals. I am not going to do this just yet though. I would like to lose ten more pounds.

Tammy Tullos one one side I am happy you got the results you wanted on the hand I can only give this advice since I was unbelievable underweight at one time in my life. Increase you vitamins - ask about liquid vitamins so that until the weight lost stops or the doc/Nutritionist can figure out what is wrong - you will at least be getting all you nutrients, which are extremely important for hair, bone and skin - a lot of female suffering badly from bone density loss because of improper nutrition - good luck
