Question:
Any Post-op's for 15+ years?

I have just recently realized that I hardly ever hear of someone who is 15 or more years post-op. Are there any out there? I'm 25 and considering this surgery and I would like to see my son graduate from high school. Please help!    — [Anonymous] (posted on July 23, 2001)

I had a VBG in 1984, It was what was offered then. I have never regretted having the surgery. It increase my quality of life, but I am now scheduled for a revision. I've been fighting an uphill battle for the past several years, it's time for the next step. When a person has any other type of physical problem (be it health related or cosmetic) the world has no problem with it being corrected. We have a problem and now there are options to correct the physical incompatability. Donna M.
