Question:
I had the lap band surgery on the 12/29 and i had my first fill on the 2-6 and i am

still eating a lot i go back on the 2/20. I have heard from other people it sometime takes another adjustment or two.Is this normal any info would be so appreciated.    — patty S. (posted on February 17, 2004)

I had the lapband on 11-13-03 and had my first fill on 12-18. I have lost -44lbs so far. My Dr. tried to do another fill on 2-10-04 but after numerous sticks still could not hit the port (he does not use a floro just does it by feeling for the port.) so I decided to wait until later. I'll probably wait a month or so and try again. Good luck Mary

Yep its normal. It took 3 tries before I got a fill that actually 'worked'

My best friend has a band -- and she has had 3 fills. Just had the 3rd last week. The one thing that she did was she would wait until she seemed to hit a lengthy plateau and then would have another fill if she felt it was right.
