Question:
I start my clear liquid diet tomorrow. What can I have

I am running out of ideas. Surgery is Tuesday! Also, today I had to stick to a regular liquid diet...which included anything liquid. Would that include cream of wheat that had been mixed with lots of milk to make it drinkable through a straw? I thought the rule was, if you can drink it through a straw...it was ok.    — Kay S. I survived on Mrs. Grass Chicken Noodle Soup. I'd strain out the noodles though. :)

A clear liquid usually means 100% liquid, so I think "cream of wheat" may not really be what the doctor had in mind. Popsicles, water, Crystal Lite, iced tea ... all of these things would qualify as "clear liquids."
