Question:
Need a good tasting chewable multi-vitamin that I can tolerate....

I am scheduled for surgery in late January and I am trying to find products that I like prior to surgery. I would like to start them prior to surgery. I hate to say it but I have such sensitive tastes I found the Centrum Chewable just nasty and the Flintstones Chewables weren't much better. I want to find something that I am prepared to tolerate for the rest of my life. I read somewhere that someone suggested a chewable that tasted like Sweet Tarts. I know this is probably a pipe dream but does anyone remember seeing this or has a better suggestion?    — Alanphier (posted on November 20, 2002)

Gummy Vites by L'il Critters, they taste like gummy bears. I got mine at WalMart. My kids like them too and they are picker than I am.

I have found one that's pretty good and I can tolorate. The brand is Rugby (Labortories, Inc.). Name of the vitamin is " Poly Vitamin (fruit flavored animal shapes)" not to be confused with "Poly Vi Sol"? I got them at my Kaiser Pharmacy, but as I ltried to look them up on the web, I can't find any info. Another one that is ok...is the Trader Joe's chewable bears. I've only tried the reg ones not the gummy ones. Best of luck, I hope this helps...

The only good tasting chewable to me is sold at WalMart. It is OneSource Active Kids brand with added Vitamin C. It has a little bit of calcium, so don't take it with your iron. It tastes very good and I take two a day. Also very cheap.

Vista Vitamins are supposed to tasted like sweet tarts. I tried them after wls and I could not tolerate the taste. But some people have no problem with them. Good luck and know that i have found out that some things that tasted good before wls taste awful now. So your taste buds may change too.

The multivitamins I use are by Kirkland and are Chewable Children's Complete Multivitamins (iron free and sugar free). I get the dinasours and they taste great. Even my husband likes them. The flavors are (I believe) grape, cherry, and orange. I get mine at www.vitalady.com. Hope this helps. (Tina 08/28/01 60" distal RNY Dr. Oh Federal Way, Washington -105 lbs from 230 to 125)

It's possible that you won't have to have chewables for the rest of your life. I'm almost four months out & my doctor said I can now take regular pill vitamins!

I'm not a chewable person AT ALL. I cut 'em up for the first 30 days, then can swallow normal pills. Good thing cuz I don't think I'd be faithful to chewbles. Yuckers.

I was at the health food store, and they suggested animal parade, it comes in cherry and watermelon flavors, they also suggested source of life. The sales lady said she had her hair falling out from a medicine she was on and the source of life stoppped it. Needless to say, they were out of it, so she took my name and will call when it comes in.
