Question:
What supplement do I need to help with muscle and knee pain?

I'm 9 months post op. I am taking lots of vitamins and extra calcium citrate and magnesium, but one missed dose of magnesium and I'm sore again in a few hours. I also have knee pain (soreness) since surgery that is worsening that the magnesium does not help. I keep thinking it is nutritional, but don't know what to take for it. Any ideas?    — Darlene P. Get your bloodwork done and quit trying to guess. Some deficiencies could cause serious problems and this pain might be a small warning. Good luck and God Bless!

Yes, I've seen my family physician and had blood work. The blood tests are normal. My family doc put me on magnesium which helped the sore muscles but not the knee pain. I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions?

hi Darlene, i have bad knees too, and my doctor suggested Glucosamine Chondroitin tablets. You can buy them at any drug store like walmart or walgreens, even the grocery store in the vitamin section. it has really helped with my joint pain, and if it gets really bad i take Tylenol. i'm not sure if your knee pain is joint-related like mine, but i hope this info helps you.
