lisa - i tried several months ago when i had humana ppo , with an exclusion , there is no getting approved for this surgery . i waited until it was renewal time and reviewed the choices of policies . still with humana , but chose the hmo , it covered surgery . i finally have my consult this coming monday . and since i have all my tests done that i forsee as needed , it would be a nice xmas gift , to be scheduled for surgery without needing any additional tests done . i say if you can wait til renewal time on your ins. policy , and there are options to change to , that might be what you need to do . i was not sure , but alot of hmo's seem to cover this . good luck ...........

It depends who your employer is and what type of plan you have. Some states have it where if it is medically necessary then you have a leg to stand on. If it is a self-insured plan such as Wal-Mart has then No there is nothing that can be done to help. It would take the act of congress to make them include it. Best of luck hope. Keep in touch.

Lisa, Not that I know of - I searched high and low. Even tried hiring Walter Lindstrom - but he told me it was a waste of my money. So, I self-paid. Let me know if I can give some more details, or check out www.bodybybaltasar.com for one of the out-of-country options. Blessings, dina
