Question:
Comment on the Single Butt Cheek Effect

ok.......i was totally against thongs, but now i have had to rethink the whole "thong" thing. for new years i knew i was going to be seeing people who hadn't seen me since before my wls. i felt good and i wanted to look good too. i wore this really nice trendy black bootleg cut pants outfit with some nice black leather boots. the pants were kind of fitted and i wanted to look smoother under my clothes. ***** WARNING WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO READ IS TOTALLY WEIRD AND NUTS! you know when you are in church or something and you can just tell that some women are wearing support garments....they have that tell tale sign of the single butt cheek look??????everything is just smashed together hahaha hahaha I Didn't want that look, but i still needed some support and here is what i did. i put on black support hose, then i put on a black control top thong. i got to keep the two butt cheek look(without jiggleing) and not have to worry about the thong hummmmm how can i put this.....going in the ditch because the support hose kept it out hahahahaha. control panties can sometimes pinch, but i really liked the Hanes control thong because the legs are different and don't pinch(it's much higher). also the way it is shaped is perfect to hide a belly apron. yes...i'm weird, but in a good way hahahahahhaa    — franbvan (posted on January 8, 2004)

I want to get a couple pair of thongs, but do they come is sizes smaller then size 5, my hips are only about 31" around now, so I need some really small ones, maybe Victoria Secret huh!!loved your story, you never did say how your New Years Eve Party thing went??

Hanes Control Thong??? What the heck is it sopposed to support? I imagine thongs as being these itty bitty things that do not cover much at all.

Hi. Just a comment on the whole idea of thongs. I just don't get it. Maybe I am too old. Who knows. When I had my surgery 11 months ago, my sister in law bought me a gift of some pjs and undies from Victorias Secret. Among them were a thong. Nothing fancy, just simple cotton uindies that were the thong style. We joked, and I said I'd let her know when I wear them. Well, now with a 31 inch waist and 36 inch hips, and being at goal, I finally tried it on. True, I still have a belly (which will be removed this summer), but even from the back, where there is virtually no cellulite or excess skin, I scared myself---just no way could this be considered attractive, or comfortqable for that matter. Maybe someone can explain the reason they are so popular. Thanks!

Hi there, Fran! I've always been curious about thongs, but so afraid of them. My husband calls them "butt floss" and that kind of has me thinking he may not appreciate me in one. But I have nothing in back, so it may just slide off to the side. :-O Vi. open RNY 9/23/02 down 151 lbs.

OMG, that is too funny. Great idea tho. Thongs are quite comfortable if you get a pair that fit properly. That was my problem with them for so long. I don't suggest wearing them with jeans...unless you want that perma-wedge effect.
