Question:
Has anyone taken Avelox post-op? Did you have any problems?

I was just prescribed Avelox for a respiratory infection and was wondering if anyone has taken it post op and if so how did you do on it? I've had to use Z-pack once post op and it really did a number on my stomach, even taken with a little food or a protein shake.    — sheltie (posted on November 20, 2002)

I just finished a course of Avelox and had no problems. Just be sure that you don't take it with calcium. I snapped the pill in half just to be safe.
