Question:
Has anyone been approved using Jenny Craig or other for 6 month requirement?

If your insurance requires 6 months of physician supervised weight loss, Jenny Craig probably won't qualify. However, if they just want diet history, then it probably would.

I had a 6-month doctor supervised diet requirement as well. Aetna accepted Weight Watchers (with stamped proof of attendance) for this requirement.

My insurance required only 3 months of a medically supervised diet. After getting denied(they didn't like my pcp's letter because it didn't state 1200 calorie or less diet for 3 months)I faxed them my weight watchers stamped booklet of 3 months and the denial was overturned within a few hours. I'm soo glad I kept that booklet!
